A lot of stores ask for reservations at least a day in advance but at Kimono Rental Waraku Kyoto Kiyomizu Store, we welcome same day booking! Plus the store is just a 5-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera temple and also 5 minutes to the popular spot, Kodaiji Temple so if you decide at the last minute, you can rent kimono at our store. Around Kiyomizu-dera temple, you’ll also find other popular tourist spots like Ninenzaka and Yasaka Koshindo nearby. There are many other major sightseeing spots around our store too, so it makes it simple and efficient to enjoy your Kyoto trip!

Same day booking is also ok for hair styling

If you are going to rent a kimono, why not make your hairstyle cute too? Most of our Kimono rental plans has hairstyling included! You can choose your favorite style from a bunch of styles. You don’t need to book in advance so even if your plan didn’t have hairstyling included, you can just let our staff know. Same day plan changes are always welcome. Our hairstylists are pros who have passed strict standards so even if you book at the last minute, we will make sure your hair looks amazing. You can also add as many hair accessories as you want for free so you can create a unique look that won’t match your friends. We can also go for a coordinated “similar” style together too. You don’t need to bring anything with you so just come as you are! We will prepare everything for you.

Important notice for same day booking at Kyoto Kiyomizu Store

・Don’t forget about the return time
Normally people who book on the same day, checks in tend to be in the afternoon. At Kimono Rental Waraku Kyoto Kiyomizu Store, no matter what time your reservation starts or how long it takes to get ready, all plans must be returned by 5:30PM. If you’re late, we will charge a late fee so make sure to plan your time!
If you want to keep the kimono look until night, there is an add on option for next day return(Return by 12PM the following day) so let us know if you’d like to add it to your plan.

・Please note our kimono available sizes
Our kimonos are suitable for women height between 145cm to 175cm and for men, between 155cm to 190cm.
If you are shorter or taller that these ranges, we may still be able to fit you but please understand that it might not be a perfect fit. The hem or waist might end up a little longer or shorter than usual.

・Same day bookings might not always be available
Even if you decide, “I want to rent Kimono at this time!”, please note that for same-day reservations, we may not be able to accommodate your preferred time slot on how busy the store is. Especially during peak seasons like March (spring break) and Kyoto Art Firework Festival, Golden Week and other long holidays, we might be fully booked. So if you are planning to visit during these times, we highly recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
