Q.Do you have lace kimonos?
Yes, lace kimonos are available at all of our stores. Also, the price is the same regardless which kimono you choose. In extreme cases, all lace kimonos may be rented out, but they are available most of the time.
Q.Do the stores have differences in the types of kimonos available for rental?
We constantly research the trends in each store/area. Therefore, the types of kimonos and accessories may vary slightly from one store to another. However, we incorporate what is popular in Tokyo into Kyoto and Kamakura, and conversely, we incorporate what is popular in Kyoto into our Tokyo area stores. As we constantly update all our stores, you can enjoy choosing from our trendy selections with confidence.
Q.Do you have men’s hakama available for rental?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not have men’s hakama, but we do have women’s hakama available for rental.
About Reservations
Q.How can I check my reservation details?
For reservations done online, please check the reservation confirmation email we send at the time of reservation. If you have not received it, your reservation may not have been made. Please contact us via the online inquiry form or contact our stores directly.
Q.I have not received the reservation confirmation email. What should I do?
If you have not received the reservation confirmation email, the email address you entered while making the reservation may have been entered incorrectly. Please contact us via the online inquiry form or contact our stores directly.
Q.What time are you closed?
Our last reception time is at 4:00PM. However, business hours may differ on days with special events such as fireworks displays and festivals. We will notify you in advance on the dates when business hours are different in the Latest Information section.
Q.When will reservations for the following month be available?
Reservations can generally be made from 20 days to 1 month in advance.
Q.I tried to make a reservation for more than 10 people, but I was unable to do so.
It is possible that the availability on the day is less than the number of people you would like to reserve. Please make separate reservations or contact us by phone.

Q.Can I bring my pet into the store?
We apologize for the inconvenience; due to our management regulations, we strictly prohibit customers from bringing pets into the store.
Q.Can I purchase kimonos and accessories?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not sell our rental items.
Q.I would like to see an image of the kimonos or yukata in advance.
You can see examples of our rental items on our website and Instagram. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not share images of our rental items individually.
Q.I think I left something behind. What should I do?
Please contact the store directly to confirm it. If it’s found, please come directly to the store to pick it up. We will keep it at the store for 7 days.
Q.Can I bring my personal hairdressing equipment?
Unfortunately, personal hair styling tools are not allowed.
Q.I am thinking of renting a kimono on a rainy day, but what happens if the kimono gets dirty?
Don’t worry if it rains—we offer protection coverage for stains or damage.
Q.Can I get a receipt?
Yes. Please inform our staff that you need a receipt while making the payment.
Q.Can I reserve a kimono?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not allow reservation of kimonos.
However, you can reserve graduation ceremony hakama and coming-of-age ceremony furisode after previewing them. To make a reservation for the preview, please choose “Hakama Preview” or “Coming-of-Age Ceremony Furisode Preview” at the WEB Reservation. We accept reservations between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on weekdays and 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on weekends and holidays. Please note that reservations cannot be made outside of these times.
Q.Do you offer makeup services?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not offer makeup services.
Q.Do you accept reservations before 9:30 am?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not offer early morning reservations except for graduation hakama (in March) and coming-of-age ceremony furisode.
Q.I’m TV personnel. Is costume collaboration possible?

Q.Are your stores close to the bus/train station?
Yes, all of the kimono rental stores operated by our company are located within 5 minutes from the bus/train stations and tourist hot spots. Our Asakusa store is a 1-minute walk from Asakusa Station on all lines, the Gion store is a 1-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Main Line, our Arashiyama store is a 4-minute walk from Arashiyama Station on the Randen Line, and our Kamakura store is a 5-minute walk from Kamakura Station on all lines.
Q.I don’t need hairstyling, but will the price change?
The price does not change regardless of whether or not hairstyling is required. If you find a plan without hairstyling, you can make a reservation for it. *Some stores may not have a plan without hairstyling.
About Changes / Cancellations
Q.Can I change my reservation?
If you made your reservation online, please cancel it first and then make a new reservation. You can do so by using the cancellation URL in the reservation confirmation email sent to you when you made the reservation.
Q.Can I change the number of people in my reservation?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please cancel your reservation first and then make a new reservation. You can do so by using the cancellation URL in the reservation confirmation email sent to you when you made the reservation. If there is not an available slot for the number of people you want to reserve, please make some adjustments by shifting some customers to a different time.
Q.Can I change the options after making a reservation?
Please inform the reception staff when you visit the store about the options you wish to change. Please note that changes cannot be made after payment.
Q.How do I cancel my reservation?
There is no cancellation fee if you cancel up to the day before your reservation day. Customers who made a reservation online can cancel it online by clicking the URL in the reservation confirmation email sent to you when you made the reservation and entering the necessary information. Please note that a cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel on your reservation day.
About Usage
Q.Can I store my things at your store?
Yes, you can. When you come to our store, we will give you a large container to store your clothes and bags. You can store your belongings as long as they fit in this bag. We can also store carry-on luggage and strollers for 550 yen each.
Q.Is there anything I should bring with me?
Everything you need is included in our plans, so there is essentially nothing you need to bring along. However, in winter, we advise wearing heat-retaining inner wears such as heat tech inners. You can also bring a scarf or a muffler. Although they are optional, we do have them available at our stores, so please feel free to ask our staff if you would like to use one.
Q.Do you have large sizes available? If so, what’s the biggest size you have?
We have sizes for women who are about 145cm (4’9”) to 175cm (5’9”), and for men who are about 155cm (5’1”) to 195cm (6’3”). We also have sandals, geta, and others in large sizes, so please rest assured.
Q.How much time will it take to get outfitted in your store?
It takes about 15 minutes to get dressed and 15 minutes for hairstyling. Including the time it takes to register, choose your kimono/accessories, and adjust your belongings, it takes about 1 to 1.5 hours on average, and about 45 minutes during off-peak hours in total. During busy periods, it is best to give yourself a time allowance of about an hour. This will vary depending on the time you spend choosing your kimono and accessories, so please consider this just as a reference. The off-peak time when we have most kimonos in stock is at 9:30 am.
Q.I think I will arrive earlier than my reservation time. Do I have to wait before can I enter the store?
You can enter our stores 5 minutes before your reservation time. If you enter earlier than that, you may be asked to come back depending on the congestion inside.
Q.Can children rent clothes at your store?
We do not have kimonos or yukata for children, but we have sizes available for girls who are 145cm (4’9”) or taller and boys who are 155cm (5’1”) or taller. The plans are the same as for adults.
Q.Can pregnant women rent clothes at your store?
Customers who are in the stable period of pregnancy can do so. Kimonos and yukata are generally tight around the stomach and waist because of the obi and waist strings, so they may feel more restrictive than regular clothes. Please inform our staff if you are pregnant and have them dress you a little looser.
*We generally do not recommend pregnant customers to use our services for safety reasons. We cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances.
Q.What should I do if I am going to be late for my reservation?
If you are going to be less than 10 minutes late, there is no need to contact us. If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late, please contact the store.
Q.Can I use a credit card?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not accept credit cards or electronic payments. We only accept cash.
Q.I am a woman, but I would like to wear a men’s kimono.
If you are using the service alone, please make a reservation using the men’s plan, or if you are using the service with three or more people, please use the group plan. If you are using the plan for two people, one of whom will wear a female kimono and the other a male kimono, please use the couple plan.
Q.I would like to add a fur wrap or stole depending on the weather and temperature on the day. Is this possible?
You can add options depending on the situation on the day of use. If you wish to do so, please feel free to ask our friendly staff. However, depending on the product, there may be cases where it is out of stock due to other reservations.
Q.How long does it take to return the rental items?
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes. It tends to get busier as it gets closer to 5:30 p.m., so please come with plenty of time.
Q.I want to use the next-day return option. Can a representative take my kimono and return it on my behalf?
Yes. If you choose the next-day return option, the representative can return all the kimonos for your group at once. Please note that even if you return them on the same day, the rental fee will not be refunded.
Q.Can I add the next-day return option after the rental is made?
For the next-day return option, you must add it at the time of reservation or at the time of payment. We will also ask you to show your ID.
Q.When will yukata start being available?
It varies depending on the temperature and weather, but it usually starts around mid-May. If the weather is suitable for both kimonos and yukata, both will be on display, so you can choose depending on the situation.
Q.This is my first time renting a kimono. I don’t know what to do.
We have had many customers who come to our store to rent kimonos for the first time. Please rest assured that even first-time customers can do so without any problem.
About Plans / Options
Q.Can I add options on the day of use?
Yes, you can. However, there may be cases when the option you want cannot be arranged due to prior reservations. We hope for your understanding should this situation arises.
Q.Can high school and junior high school students also use the Student Discount plan?
Yes, you can. Please bring your Student ID with you on your visit. Parental supervision is not required.
Q.Can men use the group plan?
Our group plan is available to everyone regardless of gender. It can be used by any group, whether it’s a group of only men, a group of only women, or a group of both genders.
Q.I made a reservation using the Group Plan. Can we come separately?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please come together as a group.
Q.I made a reservation using the Couple Plan. Can we come separately?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please come together as a couple.
Q.Can men use the Student Discount Plan?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but the Student Discount Plan is only applicable for women. If you are looking for a plan for one or two men, please use the Men’s Plan. If you are looking for a plan for a group of three or more men, please use the Group Plan. If you are looking for a plan for a pair of men and women, please use the Couple Plan.
Q.I am thinking of renting a hakama. Can I use the Group Plan?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but if you would like to rent a hakama, please use the Hakama Rental Plan. The Group Plan does not apply to the Hakama Plan (this also applies to the Furisode Plan).
Q.Can children be included in the Group Rental Plan?
Yes, they can be included as long as they meet the height requirements: 148cm or taller for girls and 155cm or taller for boys. Please note that we provide adult-sized kimonos, not children’s sizes.
About Bringing in Personal Items
Q.Can I use my own hair accessories?
Yes, but please wear them yourself to avoid any unexpected situation.
Q.Is it possible for me to wear my turtleneck inner or gloves?
Yes, it’s possible. Please inform a staff member if you wish to do so.
Q.Is it possible for me to wear my boots?
Yes. Please inform a staff member if you wish to do so, in particular because the height of sandals and boots is different.
Q.Can I bring in my own kimono?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but our service does not include dressing personal kimonos.
About Previews
Q.Do you offer previews of komon kimonos?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we only provide previews for hakama and furisode.
Notes
- ・We do not have kimonos or yukata for small children.
- ・Our kimonos’ height range is: 148cm (4’10”) or more for women / 158cm (5’2”) or more for men. Even elementary school children can wear adult kimonos/yukata if they are within this height range.

・You can return the kimonos to our shop up until 5:30 p.m., after which our shop will be locked and you will be unable to do so. Please be aware of this.
The "Next Day Return Option" cannot be added after payment. Please add it when making a reservation or before payment.
