How to Rent a Kimono on the Same Day
1. Check Availability & Reserve via Website
With our online booking system, you can check real-time availability and make same-day reservations easily. Simply fill out the required details and select your preferred time slot and plan. Online bookings are available up to one hour before your visit. For last-minute reservations within the hour, please call the shop directly.
② Visit the Store
Please arrive at the store at your reserved time. After check-in and payment, you’ll proceed with the flow: choose your kimono → store your belongings → get dressed → hair set → choose optional accessories → head out.
For women’s full kimono set plans, dressing takes around 15–20 minutes and hair styling takes about 15 minutes. The entire process from check-in to departure takes around 1 hour on average, but may vary depending on how busy the shop is.
③ Head Out
If you added any optional accessories later, you can pay for them now and head out. Please return your kimono by 5:30 PM. The return process takes about 10 minutes, but during peak hours it may take longer, so please allow enough time. You’re free to go anywhere you like within your rental time — enjoy exploring Arashiyama in your kimono!
Tips for Same-Day Reservations
Point 1:
Rent a Kimono Even with Last-Minute Plans
Even if you suddenly feel like wearing a kimono — no problem! Web reservations can be made up to 1 hour before your visit. For reservations within the hour, call us directly. Final check-in time is 4:00 PM. Same-day reservations cost the same as advance bookings, so if you’re unsure of your plans or checking the weather, feel free to book on the day.
Note: Same-day reservations may not be available during high-demand seasons such as festivals or holidays.

Hair Styling Included — No Prior Booking Required
All women’s plans include hair styling. You can choose from a variety of styles in our hair catalog, such as popular braided twin tails, double buns, or classic updos. Stylists with professional certification are available. We also have options for bob and short hairstyles. Plus, you can add as many hair accessories as you like! We offer many unique hair pieces — even with same-day bookings, you can enjoy a full, fashionable kimono look.

Great Location — Just 5 Minutes from Arashiyama Station
Kyoto Arashiyama Kimono Rental Waraku is a 5-minute walk from Randen “Arashiyama Station” and 6 minutes from JR “Saga-Arashiyama Station.” Famous spots like Togetsukyo Bridge, Bamboo Grove, and Kimono Forest are all within walking distance. It’s perfect for spontaneous rentals during sightseeing. The area also has lots of cute cafés — ideal for café hopping in your kimono. With nearby stations and tourist spots, it’s easy to make the most of your time.

Late returns will incur a fee. The shop closes at 6:00 P.M. sharp.
During busy seasons (graduation, Golden Week, fireworks festivals), we may only accept advance bookings and suspend same-day reservations.
We’re open year-round, but may close unexpectedly due to weather (e.g., typhoons). Please call us in advance to confirm operations if conditions are uncertain.
