Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to add any options?

Even if you didn’t select any options when making your reservation, you can still add them on the day of your visit. If you’d like to add an option, feel free to let our staff know.

I prefer a lacy or an antique style of kimono. Are there any?

At our shop, all kimonos—including popular lace and antique styles—are available at the same price. The cost does not change based on the type of kimono or yukata you choose.

Please note: This does not apply to hakama or furisode.

I reserved the Couple Plan. Can we arrive at a different time?

Please arrive at the same time.

Should I bring anything?

All of our plans include a full kimono rental set and accessories, so there’s nothing in particular you need to bring with you. However, during the colder autumn and winter months, we recommend wearing warm inner layers such as HEATTECH. Hand warmers (kairo) are also a great option to stay comfortable.

Couple Kimono Rental in Kamakura – Top 5 Places to Visit

One of the best things about Kamakura is that it’s just about an hour from central Tokyo—far enough to feel like a getaway, but close enough that it’s not a hassle.
Whether you’re coming by train or car, it’s a perfect destination for both newly dating couples and those who’ve been together for a while.
Hop on the Enoden Line and you’ll be at the coast in no time—taking a walk along the seaside in kimono makes for a truly charming experience. It’s also a great spot to snap photos with the sunset in the background.

1. Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu is also famous as a spiritual spot for love and relationships. With over 800 years of history, it has a solemn and sacred atmosphere—but once you climb the grand staircase and look back, the view is absolutely stunning.
It has also been featured in historical dramas, making it a great destination for location-spotting fans. Plan to spend about an hour there. After your visit, why not explore the area and hunt for some delicious local treats?

2. Komachi Street

At the heart of Kamakura is Komachi Street—a charming shopping lane lined with cute little shops that make you want to stop at every turn.
One standout is Guruguru Beguru Kamakura, a bakery café that also has a location on Omotesando. Their fruit sandwiches look absolutely irresistible.
Then there’s Kamakura Chacha, known for their “Matcha-cha Gelato Level MAX,” made with rich, high-quality matcha from Shizuoka. If you’re a matcha lover, this is a must-visit spot!

3. Custom-made Rings

Kamakura has several shops where you can make your own rings, and one of them—“gram”, just off Komachi Street—lets you join with a numbered ticket, so if the timing’s right, you can get started almost immediately.
Whether you make a matching pair with your partner or choose a design you love for yourself, it’s a great way for couples to create a special date memory.
Another great thing is that it’s just a short walk away, even in kimono—so you won’t get tired getting there!

4. Hokokuji Temple

With around 2,000 bamboo stalks, this is a highly photogenic spot that’s perfect for Instagram—and a recommended stop for couples on a date or families exploring Kamakura together.
Since it’s a bit farther from Kamakura Station, we suggest taking a bus to get there comfortably. The breathtaking scenery is sure to impress, and you can enjoy a moment of calm with a cup of matcha at the teahouse. Kimono and temple settings are a perfect match, making it an ideal place for stunning photos.
The grounds open at 9 AM, so going early in the morning is a great way to beat the crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

5. Illumination

In winter, why not venture a little farther and enjoy the seasonal illuminations?
“Shonan no Houseki” (Jewel of Shonan) in the Enoshima area is a beautifully lit spot that’s perfect for Instagram—and makes a magical destination for a kimono date.
For a relaxed outing without worrying about return times, we recommend using our next-day return option!
