3 recommended spots to visit after renting a kimono in Asakusa
Asakusa not only preserves its old buildings and scenery, but also has many new instagram-worthy spots just a short walk away from the main streets.

Asakusa Yorozu Chaya (2nd branch)
Asakusa 2-chome 7-21 Takahashi Building 101
The entrance, decorated with cute flowers, leads to a store where you can enjoy macarons with strawberries. Inside, you’ll find a beautiful display of dried flowers, making it a perfect spot for students to take Instagram-worthy photos while wearing kimonos.

Kagetsudo Honten
Asakusa 2-chome 7-13
This popular Asakusa spot has a wall of windmills that go perfectly with kimonos. The giant melon pan smells so good that it’s hard to resist buying when you’re hungry.

Onyado Nono
Asakusa 2-chome 7-21
The modern Japanese-style wall makes a great background for kimono photos, especially if you want to show off accessories too. Just be careful not to block the street, as it’s right along a busy road.
This is also a guesthouse, so it’s a good option for students visiting from out of town. The inside has a traditional Japanese look and is spacious and comfortable to stay in.
3 Key Points for Students Renting Kimonos in Asakusa

Point 01: Is the store easily accessible from the station?
If you’re a student visiting Asakusa for a graduation trip or vacation with friends, choosing a kimono rental shop with easy access from the station is a smart idea—especially when time is limited.
Waraku Kimono Rental is just 1 minute from both the Ginza Line and Tobu Skytree Line Asakusa Stations, and only 3 minutes from the Toei Asakusa Line. Even if you’re unfamiliar with the area, you won’t get lost on the way. Plus, since many people return their kimono before heading straight back to the station, the great location makes the whole experience smooth and stress-free.

Point 02 Does the store offer a student discount?
Waraku’s Student Discount Plan is perfect for students who want to enjoy kimono rental in Asakusa on a budget. Since many students are managing their spending with limited allowances or part-time job income, this plan offers a more affordable option—around 500 yen cheaper than the regular price. A student ID is required to use the discount, so be sure to bring it with you. Please note that this plan is available for female students only. Male students can use the Group Plan if they are renting with three or more people.

Point 03: Is the variety of kimono styles enough to choose from?
At Waraku, we offer a wide selection of kimonos with new designs regularly added, ensuring you have plenty of options to choose from. You can mix and match obi (belt) to create a unique and personalized look, perfect for those looking for a stylish and original outfit. Many customers love the variety, as it allows for creativity and individuality, especially for students who want to stand out on social media.
