Our shop is just a short 5-min walk from Kamakura Station on all lines, towards the Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine. Located on the busy Komachi Street in the heart of Kamakura, you have plenty of shops to visit, from souvenirs to trendy desserts. Renting and dropping your Hakama has never been more convenient than with our service on your special day.

Time Needed to Get Ready

Required time is approximately 25 minutes for dressing and 15 minutes for setting hair. It usually takes 1 to 1.5 hours including reception, Kimono & accessory selection, and arrangement of personal belongings. Possibly less than an hour during quiet periods but more likely 1.5 hours during the peak season.

Yes, consultation is available at 12:00 – 16:00 (weekdays) and 14:00 – 16:00 (weekends/holidays). When selecting a plan on our website, choose ‘Hakama preliminary consultation’. It is only valid within the said time. The consultation is limited to 30 minutes. No advance reservation of Hakama or change of Kimono is accepted by phone.

Is it possible to come in earlier than your usual service hours?

During the month of March, we accept early morning appointment for the guests availing the Hakama Plan at an additional charge: 7:00AM – ¥5,500 / 8:00AM – ¥3,300 / 9:00AM – ¥2,200
Early morning appointment is made possible with a deposit of ¥5,500 at the end of the preliminary consultation. No appointment shall be accepted without prior consultation.

Should I bring anything?

The plan come with a set of Hakama and accessories, so just bring yourself. Warm underwear or hand warmer could come in handy during cold seasons.

Is it okay to bring my own hair accessories?

Yes, please advise our hair stylist upon arrival. *Certain type of accessories that require prior coordination or special treatment shall not be accepted.

Can I bring my own Hakama instead of renting one?

The dressing service is available at ¥29,800 (tax excluded); please select “with my own Hakama ¥29,800” when making a reservation on our site and leave a detail in the comment section.

May bring my own pair of boots?

Yes, please advise our staff upon arrival.

Any child-size Hakama available?

Sorry, no child-size Hakama is provided, but the plan is available as long as a child meets the height requirement; 148cm- (4’10”l). All our Hakama are in adult size.

3. Fill in the details and check the necessary items (Kimono, obi, etc.)

If you wish us to set aside a specific item for you or proceed to the reservation, ¥5,500 deposit is required at this point. Please inform us the earliest possible if you wish to cancel your reservation.
