At Kyoto Kimono Rental Waraku, our skilled kimono dressers help you get ready quickly and professionally so you can start exploring sooner.
Dressing takes about 15 minutes, and the entire process—from check-in and kimono selection to bag drop-off—takes around 45 minutes during quiet hours and about 1 hour during peak times.
Our experienced team ensures a comfortable and secure fit that holds up all day, so you can enjoy sightseeing without worrying about your outfit. We pay attention to every detail to make sure you look and feel your best in kimono.
Time Required Before Departure

Although kimono dressing takes only about 15 minutes, please allow around 45 minutes in total for choosing your outfit, checking in, and storing your items. During busy times, we recommend planning for around 1 hour.

Return Deadline
Please return by 5:30 PM.
Last Check-In Time
Final check-in is by 4:00 PM.

・Available Kimono Height: Men more than 155 cm (5’1”), less than 190 cm (6’3”).
・Please note that the “Next-Day Return” option must be selected before making payment. Please make sure to put this option at the reservation or before payment if you want. *Returning via mail is not available.

FAQs – Men’s Kimono Plan
Can I leave my clothes or belongings?
Yes. We can store your personal belongings (except valuables) until 5:30 PM on the day of your rental. For large bags, we recommend placing valuables in a small pouch so you can enjoy Kyoto hands-free. *Carry case storage costs ¥550 per item.
Can I make a same-day reservation?
Yes, if we have availability. You can book via our website or by phone. Feel free to contact us!
I don’t know which kimono suits me—can someone help?
Of course! Our expert staff, trained in Kyoto, will help you find the perfect kimono and accessories to match your style.
What if I can't return the kimono on the same day?
No problem! For ¥1,100, you can return it the next day by noon. Please return it in person. *We do not accept returns by mail.
Do you offer haori jackets for men?
Yes! Haori jackets are included in the Men’s Plan at no extra charge.
