When it comes to school trips, time is of the essence. Since you'll be walking in Kimonos and geta sandals, it's important to select a rental shop that allows for a quick and efficient experience. Kyoto Kimono Rental WARAKU has four locations, all conveniently within a 5-minute walk from major train and bus stations, as well as many tourist attractions. School Trip Plan FAQ
Is hair styling included?
Yes, hair styling and accessories come with the Women's Kimono rental. You can choose styles from our menu, including braided twins, updos, and bubble braids, etc. We also have options for short and bob hairstyles!
Is this plan available for college students?
This plan is only for junior high and high school students on the school trips. College students can use our student discount plan.
When can I make reservations for next month?
We accept reservations about one month in advance. If you want to use the School Trip Plan, please call us to arrange your reservation!
How long does it take to rent a Kimono?
It takes about 60 minutes from check-in to departure. For groups of ten or more, it takes about 90 minutes.
I’m not allowed to use my smartphone during my school trip. Do I need to bring one to check-in?
No need to bring your smartphone for reception. Just tell us your name, and our staff will help you!
How long does it take to rent a Kimono?
From check-in to departure, it typically takes between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the season and how much time you spend selecting your Kimono and accessories. It typically takes 15 minutes to get dressed and 15 minutes for your hair styling.

・Our Kimonos are most suitable for women 145 cm to 175 cm tall and men 155 cm to 195 cm.
・We only accept cash for payment.
・Returns must be made in person at our shop while wearing the Kimono; we do not accept returns by mail.
・If you want to take advantage of our Next-Day Return option, please inform us when making your reservation or before completing your payment.
※Due to the tight schedule of school trips, our staff will make every effort to ensure a smooth departure. Please make group payments together.
