Located on the busy Komachi Street in the heart of Kamakura, many of the popular landmarks are within walking distance. Plenty of shops, from souvenirs to trendy desserts, are all along the street, so it’s perfect for a stroll in kimono.
How Long It Takes to Get Ready
Required time is approximately 15 minutes for dressing and 15 minutes for styling hair. It usually takes 1 to 1.5 hours including reception, kimono & accessory selection, and arrangement of personal belongings; possibly around 45 minutes when the shop is not busy.
During peak seasons, we recommend allowing at least 1 hour. Please note that the total time may vary depending on how long it takes to select your kimono and accessories, so use this as a general guideline.

Most visitors to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu walk along this 480-meter path, which is also a very well known cherry blossom viewing spot. It’s a must-visit location when sightseeing in Kamakura.

The next place we recommend is Enoshima Aquarium, located roughly 20 minutes by train from Kamakura Station. Ranked one of the top sightseeing spots in the Kamakura area, it’s a very popular place.
Many of our customers who rent kimonos from us ask, “Can we only walk around near Kamakura Station?” as well as saying things like “We’d love to visit somewhere a bit farther like Enoshima!”
